El líder ruso hizo estas declaraciones al supervisar el lanzamiento de la fase activa el ejercicio estratégico de comando y Estado Mayor a gran escala Océano 2024, el cual, dijo, es el
mayor ejercicio naval de las últimas tres décadas, informó el Kremlin.
«Rusia debe estar preparada para cualquier evolución de la situación y nuestras fuerzas armadas deben garantizar la protección fiable de la soberanía y los intereses nacionales de Rusia», expresó Putin, y añadió que las fuerzas armadas del país deben estar listas para contrarrestar cualquier potencial agresión militar en todos los frentes, incluidas las zonas oceánicas y marítimas.
El mandatario subrayó que Estados Unidos está buscando obtener una ventaja militar con sus acciones agresivas y, en última instancia, está socavando la arquitectura de seguridad existente y alterando el equilibrio de poder en la región de Asia-Pacífico.
«De hecho, Estados Unidos está provocando una carrera armamentista, menospreciando la seguridad de sus aliados europeos y asiáticos y creando las precondiciones para una peligrosa crisis en Europa y en la región de Asia-Pacífico», advirtió Putin.
Señaló que Washington y sus aliados están aumentando su presencia militar cerca de las fronteras occidentales de Rusia, en el Ártico y en la región de Asia-Pacífico.
